The Brother PDQ software will be FREE to all GT-541 U.S. owners, and consists of
three dynamic components:
PDQ Design
A powerful, yet simple-to-use graphics layout and design program that enables users
to quickly compose and customize printable layouts. Only minimal computer graphic
skills are necessary. Simply Pick Your Garment, Choose Your Image, Design the Layout
and Place Your Order.
PDQ Design Service
From within the PDQ Design program, users have the option to connect to the PDQ
Design Service. The service offers a vast online library of licensed pay-per-print
art, photo frames and backgrounds for use in designs – each for just pennies per
print. You pay only for images that you actually print. Browse images by collection
or topic, or search by keyword. Eliminate the time consuming task of searching through
CDs and other sources. These images have been optimized specifically for printing
with the GT-541 inkjet garment printer, and are accessible for use only from the
PDQ Design software.
PDQ Print
Captures the completed layout designs created in PDQ Design and sends them to the
GT-541 printer through a "Pending Orders" queue. Enables personnel to
first review, prioritize & then print jobs. Administrators can monitor ongoing
use as well. This program runs independent of PDQ Design, allowing layout designers
and printing staff to each work in parallel.

PICK YOUR GARMENT
Compose your own designs using stock layout templates created for a variety of garment
sizes, ensuring easy placement of graphics for accurate printing.
PDQ DESIGN: DESIGN SERVICE
CHOOSE YOUR IMAGE
Choose from the PDQ Design Service at just pennies per print, or import your own
at no cost. You also have the option to insert an imported image (for instance,
a customer-provided photo) into a photo-frame or background from the PDQ Design
Service.

DESIGN THE LAYOUT
Add text, format fonts and apply text effects such as shadows, outlines, gradients
and text shapes. Scale and align images with a simple click of the mouse. Include
filled borders and outlines, control shape, line thickness and colors.
PDQ DESIGN
PLACE YOUR ORDER
Print your work order and submit the job, which is then sent to a 'pending orders'
queue in PDQ Print.
PDQ PRINT
MANAGE & PRINT ORDERS
From PDQ Print, printing personnel can review and prioritize the job, manage color
settings, print a test/sample and ultimately print the finished product.

Availability & Notification
PDQ is targeted to release commercially this Spring '10*. Registered GT-541 owners
will be notified via email when the software is available for download from the
GT-541 Owner's Website, on the "Software Updates" page.
